Opening Presents

The night before Christmas
I could not sleep.
The thought of opening presents almost made me weep.
Under the tree they were wrapped so neat.
Trying to sleep wouldn’t  be an easy feat.
Finally Christmas morning has arrived.
I’m so happy to be alive.
I opened them all until there were none.
My parents sure did make this Christmas fun.
The wait for next year has begun.
